How do I get my system logs in FrontlineSMS?

Once in awhile, our basic troubleshooting steps will not work, and our developers may ask you to send us your system logs. This is useful because it allows our developers to see step-by-step actions within the software so they can pinpoint any problems.

 

In order to send us your system logs, please take the following steps, then send the file to support@frontlinesms.com with a description of the issue you are working to resolve.

 

1. From the home screen, select 'Settings' from the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

2. Select 'System' from the left-hand side of the screen. Then, click on the button for 'Download Logs.'

A warning message will appear that looks something like this:

This is simply a reminder that you should use our Basic Troubleshooting steps first, then get in touch with us if you have an issue. Only send us your logs if the problem cannot be easily resolved.

 

If we've requested your logs, then click "Continue."

 

3. Save the logs to your computer, then email them to support@frontlinesms.com.

You will likely receive a prompt similar to the one below, asking you to save your logs to your computer. Click "ok" -- remember where you saved the file! -- and then send the logs to our FrontlineSMS team.
